Ceramic Coating

Permanent paint protection with IGL Coatings — the world's most advanced ceramic technology. We are an authorised IGL installer based in Fyshwick, Canberra.

What is ceramic coating?

A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds to your vehicle's paint, creating a permanent, hydrophobic layer of protection. Unlike wax or sealant, it doesn't wash off — it becomes part of the paint surface.

IGL Coatings is the product we trust and are certified to apply. It offers exceptional hardness, chemical resistance, and UV protection, with a gloss depth that wax simply can't match.

What it protects against

  • UV damage and paint oxidation
  • Bird dropping and insect acid etching
  • Light swirl marks from washing
  • Water spotting and mineral deposits
  • Road grime and contaminants
  • Chemical staining

The process

01

Paint inspection

We assess your paint under proper lighting. This determines whether correction is needed before coating.

02

Decontamination wash

Two-bucket wash, iron fallout removal, tar removal, clay bar. The paint must be completely clean before coating.

03

Coating application

IGL coating is applied panel by panel in our controlled studio environment. Proper flash time between coats.

04

Curing & handover

24–48hr cure period, then full handover with maintenance instructions and manufacturer warranty documentation.

Common questions

IGL Coatings last 3–7 years depending on the product tier and maintenance routine. With annual maintenance washes and inspections, you can expect the upper end of that range.
Ceramic coating seals in the current condition of your paint. If swirl marks or scratches are present and left uncorrected, they'll be visible under the coating. We always inspect first and give you an honest recommendation.
Yes, but the method matters. We recommend hand washing with pH-neutral shampoo and a proper two-bucket technique. Avoid automatic car washes with brushes. We walk you through this at handover.
No — ceramic coating is not designed to stop stone chips. It offers chemical resistance, UV protection, and hydrophobic properties. For stone chip protection, Paint Protection Film (PPF) is the correct product.
Yes. All ceramic coating work comes with a manufacturer warranty from IGL Coatings, backed by our status as an authorised installer. Full documentation is provided at handover.
