PPF · Clear Bra · XPEL Ultimate Plus · Self-Healing Film · Rock Chip Protection
The most comprehensive physical protection available for your vehicle's paint. PPF takes the hit so your paint doesn't. Rock chips, scratches, road debris and UV — all stopped by an invisible film with a 10-year manufacturer warranty.
Paint Protection Film (PPF) — also known as a clear bra — is a thick, optically clear polyurethane film applied directly to your vehicle's painted surfaces. Originally developed for military helicopter rotor blades to resist high-velocity debris, the technology was adapted for automotive use in the early 2000s. Today's films are virtually invisible, self-healing and carry a 10-year manufacturer warranty.
At roughly 200 microns thick, PPF is a genuine physical barrier — not a surface treatment. When a stone strikes the bonnet, the film absorbs the impact elastically and snaps back. Your paint sits completely untouched beneath. XPEL's self-healing top coat means even the film itself repairs minor scuffs and swirls when warmed by sunlight.
10-Year Warranty
XPEL manufacturer warranty against yellowing, bubbling, cracking and delamination.
Self-Healing
Minor scratches and swirl marks on the film surface disappear with heat exposure.
Removable
Film can be professionally removed at any time, leaving paint completely intact underneath.
Canberra's roads, climate and conditions make every one of these a real risk.
High-speed stone impact — the #1 cause of paint damage on Canberra's roads and the Monaro Highway.
Gravel, grit and tarmac fragments kicked up from trucks, roadworks and highway driving.
Car park doors, shopping trolleys, key marks, brush contact — unavoidable daily hazards.
Insect acids etch paint rapidly in warm conditions. Film takes the hit, not your clear coat.
Bird lime, tree sap, fuel spills and road salt — PPF resists and releases all of them.
Canberra's UV index is among the highest in the world. Film blocks UV penetration to the paint.

No hand-cutting. No shortcuts. Computer-cut patterns, dust-free installation.
Before any film goes on, the paint is corrected to remove existing defects. PPF encapsulates the paint permanently — defects trapped underneath stay there. We never skip this step on vehicles with visible paint imperfections.
Full wash, clay bar decontamination and IPA wipe-down. The surface must be chemically clean before film application — any contamination under the film causes lift and failure.
We use XPEL's DAP (Design Access Program) — the world's largest PPF pattern database with 80,000+ vehicle-specific templates. Patterns are computer-cut with precision, eliminating the risk of blade damage from hand-cutting on the car.
Film is applied in a controlled, dust-free environment. Each panel is fitted with slip solution, stretched to edges and carefully wrapped. Edges are tucked wherever possible — not just terminated at cut lines — for maximum adhesion and appearance.
A heat gun is used to activate the adhesive, stretch the film around contours and seal edges. This step is critical — it determines long-term edge adhesion and prevents lifting in Canberra's temperature extremes.
Film requires 24–72 hours to fully cure. We inspect every panel under lighting before handover and walk you through care instructions. Optional IGL ceramic coating over the film is available to add self-cleaning hydrophobics and additional UV protection.
