What is PPF?
Physical armour for your paint.
PPF is a thick, clear polyurethane film bonded directly to your paint. It absorbs impacts from stone chips and road debris that ceramic coating alone can't stop. Modern film is self-healing — light scratches disappear with heat exposure — and stays optically clear without changing how your paint looks.
Most customers combine PPF with ceramic coating: the film handles impact protection, the coating adds hydrophobic properties and easier cleaning on top.

Door leading edges start from $200, a partial bonnet strip from $400, full bonnet and bumper from $800, and a full front-end package (bonnet, bumper, guards, mirrors) from $2,000. Full-vehicle wraps are priced on inspection.
Quality film shouldn't yellow under normal use — that was more of an issue with older-generation film. It can still happen with a poor-quality product or without proper care, which is part of why the film and the installer matter.
No film is indestructible — a hard enough impact can still mark it. What it does is absorb the vast majority of everyday stone chips and road debris that would otherwise hit bare paint, and self-heal light scratches with heat.
Different jobs. PPF is a physical film that absorbs impacts; ceramic coating is a chemical layer for gloss and easier cleaning. Plenty of our customers run both together.
Quality film is typically rated 7–10 years, though real-world lifespan depends on care and Canberra's UV and gravel-road exposure. It's not a lifetime product, but it's built to outlast most ownership periods.
