General

A car wash removes surface dirt. Detailing goes much deeper — decontamination, paint correction, interior restoration, and protective treatments. Think of it like the difference between a rinse under the tap and a full mechanic service. Detailing addresses the actual condition of your paint and cabin.
Contact us with your vehicle details, its current condition, and what you're hoping to achieve. We'll give you an honest recommendation. We won't push you towards the most expensive option — we'll tell you what actually makes sense for your vehicle and goals.
8/2 Yallourn St, Fyshwick ACT 2609. We're open Wednesday to Sunday, 8:30am–5:30pm. All work is performed at our studio — we don't currently offer mobile detailing.
No. We take on a limited number of vehicles each week specifically so we don't have to rush. If a job takes longer than expected, it gets the time it needs. We book ahead to manage this — limited weekly slots means every vehicle gets proper attention.
We contact you before doing anything extra. We explain what we found, what we recommend, and what it will cost — then you decide. We never proceed with additional work without your approval. No surprises on the invoice.

Ceramic Coating

IGL Coatings last 3–7 years depending on the product tier and your maintenance routine. Annual maintenance washes and inspections extend the life significantly and keep the warranty valid.
Ceramic coating seals in the current condition of your paint. Swirl marks, scratches, and dullness that are present when the coating is applied will still be visible after — locked in permanently. We always inspect your paint first and give you an honest recommendation on whether correction is needed.
We strongly advise against it. Brush-type automatic car washes cause swirl marks — on coated or uncoated paint. Touchless car washes are lower risk but still use harsh chemicals. Hand washing with proper technique is the right approach.
Yes — all IGL ceramic coating work includes a manufacturer warranty from IGL Coatings, backed by our authorised installer status. We provide full warranty documentation at handover. The warranty period depends on the product tier chosen.

Paint Correction & PPF

Paint correction removes defects within the clear coat — swirl marks, light scratches, water spot etching. If a scratch has broken through to the base coat or primer, polishing won't remove it. We inspect your paint before starting and tell you exactly what's achievable.
They do different things. PPF is a physical film that absorbs stone chips and impact — it's the only product that genuinely protects against chips. Ceramic coating is a chemical layer that provides UV protection, chemical resistance, and hydrophobics — but it won't stop a stone chip. Many customers apply both: PPF for impact protection, ceramic coating over the top for hydrophobics and gloss.
Quality PPF typically lasts 8–12 years before it needs replacement. Yellowing, lifting edges, or severe impact damage are the usual reasons for replacement. The self-healing properties are active throughout the film's life.

Booking & Practical

Book online via our Urable booking system, call us on 0400 387 177, or use the quote form on our contact page. For ceramic coating, paint correction, or PPF, we usually have a brief consultation first to assess the vehicle and confirm scope before locking in a date.
We run limited weekly slots deliberately. For maintenance details, 1–2 weeks notice is usually fine. For ceramic coating and paint correction packages, 2–4 weeks is typical, especially during busy periods (spring/summer).
