What ceramic coating does
A permanent, chemical bond.
Ceramic coating forms a hard, hydrophobic layer bonded to your clear coat — resisting chemical staining, adding gloss, and making the car dramatically easier to keep clean. As Canberra's authorised IGL Coatings installer, every application is backed by a genuine manufacturer warranty.
It's a different job to paint correction — correction removes existing defects from the clear coat, while ceramic coating protects whatever condition the paint is in once it's applied. Most vehicles benefit from both, which is why we inspect your paint before quoting rather than selling a coating blind.

IGL's manufacturer warranty is only valid when the coating is applied by an authorised installer. That status gives you access to the full professional-grade product range and real warranty backing — not just a coating in a bottle applied by anyone.

Ceramic coating FAQs.
IGL Arcane starts from $1,650, IGL Kenzo from $1,850. Final pricing depends on vehicle size and whether correction is needed first — confirmed after inspection at our Fyshwick studio.
Arcane is rated 4 years, Kenzo 5 years, though real-world results depend on your maintenance routine and driving conditions. Annual maintenance checks keep the coating — and your warranty — intact.
If your paint has swirl marks or scratches, coating over them seals those defects in permanently. We inspect every vehicle first and recommend correction honestly, not automatically.
Kenzo is IGL's dual-layer graphene formula — longer rated life and marginally higher gloss and hardness. Arcane is the single-layer PETRONAS graphene option. Both carry a genuine manufacturer warranty as we're an authorised installer.
Different jobs. PPF is a physical film that absorbs stone chips; ceramic coating is a chemical layer for gloss, UV and chemical resistance. Plenty of our customers run both together.
