Headlight Restoration

Restore yellowed, fogged or oxidised headlights to clear. Dramatically improves night-time visibility and how your vehicle looks.

Why headlights go yellow

Headlight lenses are made from polycarbonate plastic, which degrades with UV exposure over time. The protective coating on the outer surface oxidises, turning the lens cloudy, yellow, or hazy. This isn't just cosmetic — degraded lenses can reduce your light output by up to 80%.

Headlight restoration removes the degraded material through a wet-sanding and polishing process, then applies a new UV-resistant coating to protect the lens long-term.

The process

  • Tape and protect surrounding paint
  • Wet sand through progressively finer grits
  • Machine polish to full clarity
  • Apply UV protective coating
  • Final inspection under lighting

Pricing

Both headlights
Standard restoration + UV coat
from $150
Headlights + fog lights
from $200

How long does it last?

With a proper UV coating applied after restoration, results typically last 2–4 years. Without the coating step — common in DIY kits — lenses re-oxidise within months.
