Why headlights go yellow
UV breaks down the lens over time.
Headlight lenses are polycarbonate plastic. The protective coating on the outer surface oxidises with UV exposure, turning the lens cloudy, yellow or hazy — and a badly degraded lens can cut light output by up to 80%.
Our process: tape the surrounding paint, wet sand through progressive grits, machine polish, apply a UV protective coating, then a final inspection. With that UV coating applied properly, results typically last 2–4 years. Without it, the haze comes back within months. It's a common add-on when a car's already booked in for paint correction or ceramic coating.

Both headlights, restored and UV coated, start from $150. Add fog lights and it's from $200. Most cars are done same-day.
With the UV protective coating applied properly, results typically last 2–4 years. Without that coating, the haze can return within months — it's the coating that does most of the long-term work, not the polish.
No — restoration polishes and reseals the outer lens surface. It can't fix a cracked housing or a broken internal seal letting moisture in. We'll tell you upfront if that's what we're looking at rather than polish over the problem.
For a lens that's just oxidised and hazy, yes — restoration is a fraction of the cost of new headlight assemblies and gets you most of the same result. Replacement only makes sense if the housing itself is damaged.
