The work
Holden VL Calais
A Holden VL Calais, running a fully built V8 under the bonnet, through our Fyshwick studio for the full concours treatment.
One of the most collectible Commodores Holden ever built, and a car that gets pulled apart and put back together properly, rather than wiped down and called done.

The Teardown
Full concours means exactly that: trim off, badges out, every gap and shut line gone through by hand instead of around. It started with a full wash and chemical decontamination to strip years of embedded contamination off the paint, followed by paint depth measurements across every panel before any machine touched it. From there, a cutting stage lifted the swirl marks, oxidation and light scratching that decades of Canberra sun put into the clear coat, and a finishing polish brought back the depth and clarity in the paint. Corrected panel by panel and sealed under a ceramic coating built to outlast the next decade of shows.
The Engine Bay
Colour-coded and dressed to the same standard as the paintwork: polished intake, tucked wiring, not a smear anywhere. Degreased and detailed component by component with the bonnet up rather than a quick wipe-over, every bracket, hose and fitting gone through by hand in place.
