Rolls-Royce — Detail of the Month

A classic Rolls-Royce, finished in a deep marine blue, through our studio for the full works as a featured Detail of the Month.

Proof that the process behind a proper detail doesn't care what decade the car was built in.

The Finish

Decades-old paint doesn't forgive a heavy hand. It started with a wash and chemical decontamination, then paint depth readings across every panel to see exactly how much clear coat was left to work with before any machine touched it. From there, a light cutting stage lifted the swirl marks and old wash-induced scratching, followed by a finer polishing stage to bring the colour and clarity back without pushing the clear coat any thinner than it needed to be. Cut and polished back to a genuine mirror finish, then sealed under a ceramic coating for UV and chemical resistance going forward. Inside, the cabin (original wool carpets, leather trim, timber) was vacuumed, conditioned and detailed back to the same standard as the paintwork.
