The work
Ford XE Fairmont Ghia
A Ford XE Fairmont Ghia through our Fyshwick studio for the full works.
An Australian classic in genuinely clean condition: pearl white over black, gold BBS-style wheels, and the kind of straight, honest panels that are getting harder to find on a car this age.

The Finish
A wash and chemical decontamination came first, lifting decades of embedded grime off the paint before anything else. Original paint this age doesn't leave much clear coat to work with, so correction meant paint depth checks across every panel and a light, conservative cutting stage, just enough to lift the swirl marks and oxidation without burning through, followed by a finishing polish to bring back the gloss and colour depth. Cut and polished back to a deep, honest shine without pushing the ageing paint further than it should go, then sealed under a ceramic coating so it's easier to keep that way.
The Interior
Factory-look striped cloth trim, kept original rather than swapped out. Vacuumed, extraction cleaned through the seat weave and carpets, and the dash, door cards and headliner wiped down and conditioned without pushing moisture into decades-old foam and backing. Cleaned back to a standard that matches the paint outside, without touching anything that makes it a genuine, unmolested example of the model.
